9/10/13 - Princeton, TX

The sunrise this morning on the lake was really pretty.  We got on the internet and booked our site for the Green Eggs & Ham Rally in Alabama on March 10-16, 2014.  Then we hooked up and drove to Lake Lavon Corps of Engineers Clear Lake Campground near Princeton, Texas.  I called Debbie G. at Little House Customs to see if they could come camp with us.  She and Larry just got back yesterday from Kansas and they have a lot of reservations for work on trailers this week.

We got to the campground and around 4 pm.  All of the lakeside camping spots were available but they had no shade.  We decided to get one of the camp sites in the trees.  There is only one other trailer here besides the campground hosts.  We sat outside awhile and then walked around a cemetery that is near us inside the campground.  The oldest headstone was from 1889.  We found a geocache by the grave of Fleetwood Hall.  Hall was my grandmother’s maiden name.  There was a pretty sunset on this lake tonight.  I cooked supper and then we watched some TV.  Tomorrow we will be going to the new George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas.
