We left Lompoc and drove to San Luis
Obispo. This is a really neat ltttle
little town, one of our favorites so far on this trip. We found an RV site at El Chorro Regional
Park. Then we drove into town to
Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. They
were having church services so we only got to look inside the open door. This was the 5th California
Spanish mission founded in 1772. We went to the nearby San Luis Obispo Museum of Art. Afterward we went to Creekside Brewing, and then walked around the corner to SLO
Brewing. Just outside SLO is an alley
with walls covered in bubble gum. The
waitress told us about this so we went to see it. It’s gross but really cool.
We drove to Central Coast Brewing and the bartender there really knew
about beer. She also reminded us of
Jim’s niece Anne-Alex in Colorado.
After leaving there we went to Tap It Brewing. They won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival for
their IPA. Jim just had to have
one. He made me drive back to
camp. Then I fixed spaghetti and a
salad for supper.
